This project was a small one-day creative exercise exploring the use of heavier metals. Using an old brass floor plate as the primary material, I designed and fabricated an orchid-inspired incense holder. The project provided an opportunity to experiment with cutting, shaping, and finishing thicker brass stock while creating a functional object. Through this process, I developed a better understanding of the material's properties and how heavier metals can be manipulated to create delicate, organic forms.
